Dabangg might have been a winner for the brothers Khan - Arbaaz and Salman, but the producer and the lead actor seem to be in no mood to retain the winning team.
After director Abhinav Kashyap left the Khans, the technicians have now been asked to follow him. Khan brothers have decided to work with a completely new team in Dabangg 2 that goes on floors in March 2012.
A source revealed, "The earlier plan was to retain the entire cast and crew barring of course Abhinav Kashyap who had already opted out of the sequel. Dileep Shukla was roped in to write Dabangg 2. As the script developed, Arbaaz Khan realised that he'll have to work within a new setup and with an entirely new set of man-power for the film."
On the other hand, most of the technicians who worked on Dabangg have opted to work with Abhinav on his next film, a Shah Rukh Khan starrer set in Australia, claimed the source.
When contacted, Arbaaz admitted that there has been a total makeover in the sequel as far as the technicians are concerned. He added, "Why are people presuming that I'd have to depend on creative resources from the first Dabangg to make Dabangg 2? I've been born into a film family. I grew up hearing scripts and people talking cinema. I know enough about cinema to turn director confidently. It's true we don't have the original crew on board. We've hired a first-rate group of fresh technicians for Dabangg 2."
"We know what we're doing. It's Dileep Shukla who has written the sequel. But it is my vision and ideas that have been put into the screenplay. I know exactly how I want to shoot the film. The novelty of seeing Salman playing Chulbul Pandey with a moustache has worn off. We'll be going beyond," said Arbaaz.
