SRK Enjoyed Quizzing Big B On 'Hot-Seat'

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan today said he enjoyed playing the role of a co-host with legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan in soon-to-telecast special episode of popular TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati.

"I have just completed shooting for this TV show and enjoyed it," Shah Rukh told reporters after theatrical unveilling A trailer of his magnum opus Ra.One here.

Shah Rukh revealed that during the show the duo exchanged their respective roles as a contestant and an anchor with Big B occupying the 'hot seat' while he briefly anchoring the popular show.

Big B requested me not to pose difficult questions, quipped Shah Rukh.

"It (the episode) is expected to telecast on 23 or 24 October," Shah Rukh, who is visiting the city for the first time said.

The actor was on a visit to the city to unveil second theatrical trailer of his much-awaited flick Ra.One releasing on October 26. When asked whether he would venture in making Gujarati films, he said, "I am concentrating on Hindi movies".

Replying to a query pertaining to setting up a film studio in Gujarat, Shah Rukh said he did not have such plans for now.

Admitting that it is difficult to kick the butt when it comes to smoking, the maverick actor said, "I promise to give it after success of RA.One."

Shah Rukh said his sci-fi flick speaks about the ill-effects of puffing cigarettes.

I Smell Better After Making Love: Shah Rukh Khan

SRK is not just the King of Bollywood, he's also the baadshah of funny one-liners. This time his target was none other than Preity Zinta. Shah Rukh Khan who appeared on her show Up, Close and Personal was greeted by his Veer-Zaara co-star with a warm hug and a compliment, "Ah, you smell so good!"


She probably was ready for what's coming next. SRK replied, "I smell even better after making love".

Not only this, SRK had few more confessions in store for the host. The actor admitted to have played the role of a Bandar (Monkey) in Ramleela as a youngter.

Shah Rukh Khan also spoke about his upcoming film RA.One and revealed that a certain high-profile director is insecure about his movie breaking all box-office records. The person in question even asked King Khan to delay the film's release.

Well, any guesses who that person could be!

We Never Fixed Wedding Date: Kareena

Last month, Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi’s demise left a huge void in the cricketing world. But long before the legendary cricketer breathed his last, Tiger’s son Saif Ali Khan and his girlfriend Kareena Kapoor made sure they were constantly by his side. Saif and Kareena also cancelled their trip to the prestigious London Fashion Week (LFW) on September 19 while he was ill. Apparently, the couple was supposed to attend Burberry’s Spring Summer 2012 show.

“Yes, we were supposed to go for LFW around my birthday (September 21). But of course, we had to cancel the trip. We didn’t want to go because of Saif’s father’s ill health. It was for the best that we didn’t go,” says Kareena, who with great excitement had told HT Café in August: “We have been invited and they have also announced that a celebrity couple from Bollywood will attend the fashion show in front row.”

But what Kareena is unhappy about these days are the never-ending speculations about her wedding. After Pataudi’s demise, some reports emerged saying that their wedding — in February 2012 — had been postponed due to Tiger’s death. But Kareena rubbishes it all.

“There was never any fixed date or month for our wedding. Plus, we never discussed it in the press. So, until Saif or I talk about it, no dates can be fixed. And as a rule, we are never going to discuss it in the media. And when we really have to, we will,” she says, adding that people are welcome to speculate. “People shouldn’t believe in what the media reports. We never said it’s going to be happen in February, so how can there be any cancellation? Everyone, apart from Saif and I, seems to know more about our marriage,” says the RA.One actor, who will be seen on the big screen on October 26.

Shah Rukh Khan's Ra.One To Be Released In Tamil

Mumbai: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan will not disappoint his southern fans. Khan will release his much awaited sci fi superhero film 'RA.One' in Tamil and Telugu as well.

"The film will be released in Tamil and Telugu as well. It will release simultaneously when the Hindi version of the film will release. The Tamil and Telugu versions are already ready. The dubbing is done," Shah Rukh told reporters on the sidelines of the music launch of the film.

"We might release it in German and few other languages as well. I'm in talks with Eros for this," he added

'RA.One' that is slated for a Diwali release and will be available for viewing in both 3D and 2D formats, will present Shah Rukh as a super hero for the first time. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, the film also stars Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal in pivotal characters.

Shah Rukh Khan was recently in Chennai, for the launch of RA.One music in Tamil.

While talking about his ambitious project Shah Rukh said, "Working on a superhero film is a difficult task for any actor and director. Thankfully my director Anubhav Sinha and other technicians made it possible for me. When I look at the end product now, it is so satisfying. I always wanted to play a superhero. It was a childhood dream."

Shah Rukh's RA.One will release in Hindi, Tamil, Telgu, and may be in German too. Shah Rukh plans to do the same for Don 2 as well. He said, "Since inception I wanted to make RA.One in Tamil and Telgu. Hopefully, I will be able to do the same for Don 2 as well. However, it is not possible to follow this for every film as it’s a long process to dub the film and do the music in different languages."

Chammak Challo's Tamil Version A Hit Already!

RA.ONE fans were in for a treat when they saw exclusive Tamil and Telugu versions of their favorite songs from the movie. Shah Rukh Khan is obviously leaving no stone unturned and is making sure that the music of RA.ONE is loved and appreciated by the entire country. The exclusive world premier of the Tamil songs was the latest addition on the official RA.ONE videos' portal. While 'Chammak Challo' Tamil teaser caught many eyes, people could not stop appreciating the romantic 'Dildaara' Tamil teaser confirming that music has no language. 

The first of its kind, the world premier had a huge response from the online fans especially for the Tamil and Telugu teaser for 'Chammak Challo', a song which has taken the entire country by storm. Following which, the music was officially launched on Monday by Shah Rukh Khan in Chennai.

Along with SRK, the popular South Indian actress, Suhasini Maniratnam was also present for the launch event. Now the fans are eagerly waiting for the longer version of 'Chammak Challo' and 'Dildaara' in Tamil which is going to be out very soon indeed.

Hrithik Roshan Leads TRP Race

Hrithik Roshan’s small screen debut as a judge on reality dance show “Just Dance” has garnered the maximum television rating points (TRPs). Even the charisma of Salman Khan in “Bigg Boss 5″ and the rugged Akshay Kumar in “Khatron Ke Khiladi 4″ couldn’t pull his popularity down.

Hrithik, 37, was one of the judges on show with choreographer-turned-filmmaker Farah Khan and choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant. The show opened at a cumulative rating of 4.7, which is the highest opening of a reality show this year, media research agency TAM said.

The finale was watched by 97 million viewers Oct 1.

The much anticipated “Bigg Boss 5″ with Salman and Sanjay Dutt opened at 4.3 and Akshay’s “Khatron Ke Khiladi 4″ opened at 3.

Still Many Things I Should Be Doing: Big B (Interview)

Amitabh Bachchan, who turned 69 Tuesday and is the busiest entertainer in the country, says there are still many things that cross his mind which he feels he should be doing.

“There are many things that cross my mind which I feel I should also be doing. Someday perhaps I shall find time for them too,” Amitabh told IANS in an interview.

Asked whether the excitement of becoming a grandfather has sunk in yet, he quipped: “Yes, long ago.” Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan are expecting their first child soon.

The megastar also said he finds his life unworthy of biographical documentation by him.

“My life has been blessed and I am ever grateful to the Maker and my parents for giving me that. Beyond that I find it unworthy of biographical documentation.”

Excerpts from the interview:

Q. This year your birthday is also special because there is a new member of the household on the way. Does the excitement of that new arrival add a special sparkle and sheen to your birthday this year?

A: Everyday is special, every birthday therefore is special – for those born and those yet to be born.

Q: Has the excitement of becoming a ‘Dadajee’ (paternal grandfather) sunk in yet?

A: Yes, long ago.

Q: At 69, you continue to be the busiest entertainer in this country with an engagement diary that challenges the 24 hours granted to a day. Are you able to do all the things that you would like to?

A: Not entirely! There are many things that cross my mind which I feel I should also be doing. Someday perhaps I shall find time for them too.

Q: Are there any unfulfilled desires? Anything that you’d like to do? What have been the most important events of the past one year?

A: I hope there are unfulfilled desires within me but to say what they shall be is difficult to put a finger on. I can tell you what is important for me today, not what has been important for me in this past year. That I shall not be able to remember. And that is how I would like it to be.

Q: The name Amitabh Bachchan means many things to many of us. What does it mean to you?

A: My name given to me by my parents.

Q: You are often asked why you don’t write your autobiography. Now that you are putting your thoughts on your blog wouldn’t you like to put the story of your life together?

A: My life has been blessed and I am ever grateful to the Maker and my parents for giving me that. Beyond that I find it unworthy of biographical documentation.

Q: You’ve been shooting regularly for Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). How has television influenced your entire perception of mass entertainment?

A: Television has been a huge revelation for me. Its reach, its value, the impact it creates, have all been a great learning exercise. I had been involved in its functioning long before it became so big in India. It is a most influential medium and has now become the mainstay of most entertainment in this country, out-beating cinema.

Its immediacy in today’s time of rapid and instant communication is its greatest asset. It is tedious and exhausting but a most satisfying creative medium for me as I am sure it must be for many others that contribute to it.

Q: What are the films that you have signed or are about to sign?

A: I have not signed any new project, in the real sense of the word. But yes, there are many that are under discussion. It would not be ethical to talk about them until those formalities are executed.

Q: Finally, what are the things that you’d like to change in your own life and in our country this birthday?

A: Why a birthday to think of making changes? If one strongly feels about them any and every day day is good. My life is as I said, satisfactory beyond my hoped imagination, but for the country I would wish for it to progress much beyond its cliched label of a ‘third world country’. I want it to be the ‘first’, not ‘third’!!

Karan Johar and Aditya Chopra Chickened Out : Shah Rukh Khan

Shahrukh Khan says he had approached his friends Karan Johar and Aditya Chopra to direct his mega-budget “RA.One” but they chickened out.

“I went to all directors to make this film (‘RA.One’) and even my own friends like Karan or Aditya. They all are ‘lallu’ (idiots) I say. I wanted to do something more than a romantic comedy,” Shah Rukh told his friend, actress Preity Zinta on UTV Stars’ “Up Close and Personal with PZ”.

The 45-year-old, who plays a superhero in the film which is releasing Oct 26, is hoping for positive things for the project. It is directed by Anubhav Sinha.

“I have been informed that I am officially broke and ‘RA.One’ has turned out to be one of the most expensive films. If this film does well, it will go down the history and will be remembered. I am glad I have bought something to India which has never been seen before… I am very inspired by ‘Krish’ and ‘Drona’,” he said.

“RA.One” also features Arjun Rampal and Kareena Kapoor, with a cameo by superstar Rajinikanth and a special voiceover by Amitabh Bachchan.

Movies Don't make Me, People Do: Shah Rukh Khan

Shahrukh Khan has credited his fans for making him who he is and believes it’s their love that had made him a superstar.

The 45-year-old actor is touring India to promote his dream project “Ra.One” and is connecting with the masses by traveling to cities he has never been before.

“City tours continue. Feel a head rush when I see people all around me. Want to give my life performing for them. Movies don’t make me people do,” Shah Rukh posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Shahrukh recently visited Vadodrara and Jaipur and is currently in Bhopal. After this, he will head to Kolkata Oct 15, Bangalore Oct 16 and Delhi Oct 18.

“Jaipur done.. now onto Bhopal. Danced my knee and heart out with little kids who taught me to act u have to remain a kid forever,” he posted.

Directed by Anubhav Sinha, “RA.One” also stars Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal. It is set for a Diwali release.

Shahrukh Khan Launces 'Ra.One' Channel On You Tube

Ra One  the dream project of Shah Rukh Khan  the verge of completion .  Shah Rukh left no stone untouched . He had taken the promtional level of his new movie in to a stage where it is well  fgurnished with t he technical aspects. 

Taking the promotions of his dream project Ra.One to a new level, Shahrukh Khan on Monday launched a custom-built Ra.One channel on YouTube.

As a result of SRK’s tie-up with YouTube, he can use the movie channel on YouTube to offer videos of all the events related to the film, like the Ra.One premiere, red carpet events planned in London, behind the scene shots, uncut footage of the star cast, and even his own musings.

The movie channel will also host games and give chance to users to create their own promos from clips, music and dialogues of the film. It’s an interactive concept.

Talking about the concept, Shahrukh told the reporters in Mumbai: “This concept goes well with my Ra.One as the film is about digital world...computer and all. So I launched it on a digital platform like YouTube. Besides, it will help me take the film to more people. I am thrilled and excited about it.”

YouTube has been used by Hollywood production houses for the promotion of their films. Shahrukh is the first Bollywood star to tie up with the online video platform and Ra.One movie channel is the first customised channel of its kind to be released in India for a Bollywood movie on YouTube.

“YouTube has been an integral platform for movie promotions in Hollywood. Since I wanted to do something that has never been done for any Indian film...so for RA.One I leveraged upon this potential of digital media,” Shahrukh said.

Ra.One is slated to release on Diwali.

And Mumbai Mirror finally reveals the safely guarded look of Rampal. Unlike SRK's G.One, Rampal will not sport spikes but a hood to cover what is believed to be his shaved head.

He will be seen in a red and black costume, a cross between Spidey and Batman's ensemble as opposed to G.One's Iron Man inspired blue and black.

Thankfully for both, the underwear over pants design has been avoided.
